Educational activity.

The educational activity of the department in the direction of preparation “Psychology” is carried out on the basis of the State educational standards of the Kyrgyz Republic. Graduates receive one and two diplomas of the state model of the Kyrgyz Republic. The department of «Psychology» carries out graduation in the areas of «Family Psychology» and «Clinical Psychology» training 530300 KR (undergraduate level)

The goals and objectives of the educational program «Psychology»:

To train a specialist in the field of “Psychology”, who has the skills in the appropriate profile when working in government organizations, international organizations, scientific institutes, secondary and higher educational institutions, political, public, private and other organizations of the Kyrgyz Republic.

To prepare a psychologist who is able to solve professional problems in the field of psychology and successfully work in the chosen field of activity, possess universal, professional and special competencies that contribute to his social mobility and stability in the labor market.

To form professional and ethical responsibility, skills of critical thinking, constant self-realization and self-education in the field of psychology.

Psychology is closely connected with psychiatry — the branch of medicine, the purpose of which is the recognition and treatment of mental disorders, and psychotherapy, which deals with the therapeutic effects on the psyche and through the psyche on the human body, aimed at ridding a person of problems of an emotional, personal, social nature.

To ensure the development of the social and personal qualities of psychology students: determination, organization, responsibility, citizenship, communication, tolerance, etc., increase the general culture, the desire for self-realization and self-improvement in the profession as part of lifelong education and self-education.

A broad-based specialist in psychological activity solves complex problems in psychological centers, conducts activities in private companies, public and non-profit organizations.

Training program:

The program is based on a methodology, psychoanalysis based on classical classical education in psychology and modern training, consulting and supervisory practices

In this specialty are taught:

Analyze the psychological state of people, the characteristics of mental processes and various types of human activities or groups;
Make psychological portraits and conclusions;
Prevent deviations in social and personal development;
Helping people in solving intrapersonal and interpersonal problems;
Explore the features of the psyche in extreme and critical situations;
Work with patients, the elderly;
Provide assistance with alcoholism, drug addiction and other types of addiction;
Help managers in effective team management and creating a favorable psychological climate in the team.

The main goal of the department is to train highly qualified specialists in the field of psychology.

All types of practices comply with the requirements of the CRP in terms of goals and time. In addition, they correspond to the schedule of the educational process.

The department has a program of educational and practical training.

Students of the direction «Family Psychology» and «Clinical Psychology» undergo practice:

at the Republican Center for Mental Health of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic

in kindergartens
in secondary schools
in private psychological centers

The organization of the educational process at the University is regulated by the curriculum, the working annual curriculum, the schedule of the educational process for the academic year and the class schedule.

The program is based on a methodology, international psychoanalysis, based on classical classical education in psychology and modern training, consulting and supervisory practices.

Organization of the educational process

The educational process is aimed at ensuring the successful implementation of the content of the main educational program.

Classes at the University are held strictly on schedule.

Auditory lessons

In classroom studies — lectures, practical (seminars) classes, laboratory work — students receive basic information on the studied academic disciplines, consolidate knowledge and skills.

The leading type of training at the University:

Lectures, here teachers giving the main knowledge of the discipline. The educational material is systematically presented and the content of each subsequent lecture is closely connected with the material of the previous one, based on the concepts, phenomena, laws that were mentioned earlier. During the lecture, students usually keep notes (compendium), which in the future will help in independent work.

Seminars are held in the academic group in order to consolidate and deepen the theoretical knowledge gained in lectures and in the process of independent work. Seminars verified and the assimilation by students of educational material in the disciplines, and the most complex theoretical questions are carefully understood.

The purpose of practical classes is to teach students rational methods for solving practical problems, to create their skills of independent application of theory. Practical classes are conducted in parallel with the study of theoretical material. In senior courses, practical classes in majors are usually conducted by analyzing situations in the form of business games.

Coursework (abstract) is a research work, usually on one topic of the studied discipline.

A course project (work) is a research work carried out on the totality of the subjects of the study discipline of the professional cycle.

Independent work

Independent work is the study of lecture material, preparation for practical (seminar) classes, preparation of essays, reports, preparation for tests and exams, writing term papers (projects), participation in research work, as well as writing final qualification work (project) .

The analysis of teaching materials, individual work plans of teachers, implemented in the educational process, showed that the level of security of the educational process meets the modern requirements of training. Almost all the teachers of the department carry out educational and methodical work: publish copyright programs, develop and correct:

Lecture courses;
Tests
Control tasks;
Exam tickets;
Guidelines, teaching aids.

In the educational and methodical complexes developed by the teachers of the department, special attention is paid to the organization of students’ independent work.

Mandatory teachers of the department participate in educational work with students on the basis of the annual plan of educational work of the department, curators of groups from among the teachers of the department are appointed by order of the rector, various kinds of educational activities are held throughout the year, recorded in the annual reports of the curators; regularly at meetings of the department are heard and discussed issues related to educational work with students.

The educational process is aimed at ensuring the successful implementation of the content of the main educational program.

Schedules of training sessions and examination sessions correspond to the curriculum and are justified from the standpoint of the optimal organization of work of students and teachers. The list of disciplines is fully consistent with the curriculum, the class schedule is approved and framed in the prescribed manner, names, teachers and their academic degrees are given.

The department pays special attention to the organization of students’ independent work, since half the complexity of the curriculum is allocated to this.

Logistics Support

The Department of Psychology «has at its disposal the necessary material and technical conditions for a modern and high-quality educational process, which include educational and auxiliary areas for the educational process, IT infrastructure, and educational materials.

The department has a projector, as well as other technical teaching aids.

The teaching staff of the department carries out a large educational and methodological work, including the preparation of textbooks, teaching aids. Employees of the department prepare lectures using modern multimedia equipment.
