The Department of Economics and Management passed accreditation in 2019.

General information about the Department of Economics and Management:

The Department of Economics and Management was founded in 2015 under the name «Business Management and Economics».

In 2017, the department was renamed to «Economics and Management.»

The mission of the Department of Economics and Management is to train highly qualified specialists with the necessary level of professional competencies in the field of economics and management, which are necessary for successful activities in education, science and modern economics.

The strategic goal of the Department of Economics and Management is to create an effective system of training and education based on the improvement of all areas of its activities.

Tasks of the department:

  • Intellectual capacity building and the development of the research base of the department;
  • Increasing the professionalism of the teaching staff;
  • The introduction of advanced educational technologies and the application of innovative methods of organizing the educational process;
  • The formation of an effective system of interaction with stakeholders;
  • Intensification of interdepartmental, interuniversity, including international cooperation.

The Educational process of the Department of Economics and Management.

The educational process in departments of “Economics”, “Business Management” and “State and Municipal Administration” are carried out on the basis of the State educational standards of the Kyrgyz Republic. Also, students of the department have the opportunity to study under the double diploma program and take internships at partner universities of the IUKR. Upon completion of training under the double diploma program, graduates receive two diplomas: a state model of the Kyrgyz Republic; a European diploma of the DS model. The

The Department of Economics and Management has the scientific theme Regional Development of the Kyrgyz Republic. According to this topic, the department is conducting research in three areas: «Regional Economics», «Digital Economy», and «Green Economy».

The scientific topic of the department is fixed by the protocol No. 10 of 6/12/2018.

Student scientific conference on the topic: «Scientific achievements and discoveries of modern youth», dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the International University of Kyrgyzstan, was held on March 23, 2018, with the aim of creating a platform for the exchange of information among young people, scientists and practitioners on pressing issues of social development.

The conference was held in four sections:

The conference was attended by 150 people from 5 educational institutions: IUKR, UNPK IUK, KSUST them. N. Isanova, Kiev National University

As a result of the conference, the best reports were awarded with diplomas and recommended for publication in the scientific journal «Bulletin of the IUKR.»

The teaching staff also prepared students for the Republican student conference on the topic: “Social and Economic Development of the Kyrgyz Republic in the EAEU” held at KTU “Manas” on April 25, 2018, and for the International Scientific and Practical Conference on the topic: “Innovative Methods and strategic development resources of the National Regional Economy”by the ADAM University and the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
