The Department of Philology and Communications was founded in 2014 and is graduating in the areas of Philological Education and Journalism. The department trains specialists in the following specialties: “Teacher of the English language”, “Teacher of the German language”, “Teacher of the Turkish language”, “International journalism”, “Tele radio journalism”, “Internet journalism”, “Periodicals”.

The department has 22 teachers, including 2 doctors of sciences, 4 candidates of sciences, 8 senior teachers, 8 teachers. Currently, more than 200 students are studying in the areas of the department. Teaching is conducted using the latest educational technologies, including computers, video equipment, multimedia teaching aids.

Graduates of the department conduct scientific work and teach in schools, in preschool institutions, in universities, work in leading media in the country.

The department employs highly qualified teachers who periodically improve their professional level in continuing education courses and internships in the country and abroad (the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, Turkey, Germany).

The educational activity of the department in the direction of preparation “Philological education” is carried out on the basis of the State educational standard of higher professional education of the Kyrgyz Republic. The department carries out graduation in the direction of preparation 550300 Philological education (underg raduate level) in the specializations «Teacher of the English language», «Teacher of the German language», «Teacher of the Turkish language».

In the field of preparation, «Journalism» is carried out on the basis of the State educational standard of higher professional education of the Kyrgyz Republic. The department carries out the issue in the direction of training “Journalism” with the code 530600 (undergraduate level) in the specialties “International Journalism”, “Teleradio Journalism”, “Periodicals” and “Internet Journalism”.

International activity

The Department of Philology and Communications AK IUK cooperates with universities of faculties and departments of foreign countries engaged in the training of personnel in the areas.

This is not the first year that our students of the Department of Philology and Communications have been interning under the Mevlana program. So, from February to July 2019, students of the department of Amanturov Akylay, Zhaparkulova Aigerim, Almasbekova Aigerim will undergo an internship in Turkey, at the University of Kastamonu. Also, during the same period under the Orkhon Process program, students of Asanova Nurzhamal, Zhantoroeva Akzyynat, Zhumanazarova Arzygul, Temirbekova Aiturgan, Eshmuratova Lira will undergo an internship at the University of Turkestan in the Republic of Kazakhstan. International programs give our students the opportunity to gain enormous experience, develop their language skills, broaden their horizons, and see other countries. The department is proud of its students and fully supports them in all efforts.

Educational and methodical work

The pedagogical staff of the department carries out a large educational and methodological work, including the preparation of textbooks, teaching aids. Employees of the department prepare lectures using modern multimedia equipment, take tests in the test system for the programs «International Journalism» and «Philological Education»
